connection

to the drainage system

What should be taken into account when connecting to the drainage system?

  • The materials used for the inlet and outlet pipes must be resistant to oily waste water.
  • The required pipe cross-sections (depending on the nominal size of the separator) and the required pipe gradient (min. 2%) in accordance with the relevant standards must be observed.

Head in accordance with DIN EN 858-2

Separator systems must be installed in such a way that the upper edge of the cover is positioned sufficiently high above the relevant level of the area to be drained.

This prevents the light liquids from escaping from the system!

Overhang – EN 858-2

Lack of superelevation – EN 858-2

An automatic warning system alerts the plant operator in good time before any light liquids leak out.

Sampling after the light liquid separator

Sampling systems must be located either as an integral part of the plant or separately, immediately downstream of the separator in the direction of flow.
