Why is proper aeration and ventilation so important?
Hybrid lifting stations must be subjected to aeration and ventilation to compensate for pressure fluctuations in the sewage tank and to prevent unpleasant odours. Ventilation pipes, pipe aerators and/or activated carbon filters are used for this purpose, enabling air exchange between the tank interior and the outside environment or indoor spaces.
The ventilation of hybrid lifting stations must be carried out in accordance with DIN EN 12050-1. The ventilation pipe of the lifting stations may be connected to both main and secondary ventilation pipes, but not to downpipes.
The ventilation of hybrid lifting stations must not be connected to the inlet-side ventilation pipe of a grease separator.
