Step by step
The design is essentially based on the principles set out in section 13 (Protection against backwater) of DIN 1986-100. A professional and effective design is carried out in the following steps:
- Determination of the backwater level in relation to the drainage points
- Identification of the drainage points to be protected
- Determination of the type of wastewater and volume
- Determination of the installation situation (indoor or outdoor)
- Determination of the protection strategy (individual or collective protection)
- Determination of the drainage type (gravity or pressure drainage)
- Determination of the type of use (continuous or batch operation)
- Product selection (product type and model)
