When is a grease separator required?

Here you can find out when a grease separator is necessary and what the consequences would be if you didn’t have one.

In that case, a grease separator is mandatory

You must use a grease separator in accordance with DIN EN 1825 and DIN 4040-100 if you operate a catering, food-processing or similar business that produces Grease wastewater. If you do not treat your wastewater, stubborn and foul-smelling deposits will form in the drainage system, which are extremely difficult to remove. In this case, in addition to a fine, you must also expect significant financial losses due to blocked pipes, corrosion and malfunctions in sewage treatment and lifting stations.
