Cleaning valves are similar to floor drains, but their primary purpose is not to discharge wastewater. They are mainly used to equip main wastewater drainage pipes with sealable openings. The seal is generally provided by a waterproof cover plate. This can be screwed off for the main drainage pipe to be cleaned and serviced or for temporary wastewater discharge.
