REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of chemicals and the regulation entered into force on 1 June 2007. It is a European Union Regulation (No. 1907/2006) intended to ensure a high level of protection of human health and the environment against chemical hazards. KESSEL AG is a downstream user within the meaning of this Regulation. The products we sell are preparations which are not intended to be registered under REACH. KESSEL is very diligent in meeting its communication obligations along the supply chain. Our safety data sheets are reviewed constantly and are updated to reflect current knowledge.
The RoHS is a directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment and concerns the use and placing on the market of hazardous substances in equipment or technical components. The obsolete EC Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS 1) was replaced by 2011/65/EU (RoHS 2), which entered into force on 3 January 2013. Annex II of EU Directive 2011/65/EU was added with EU Directive 2015/863/EU and entered into force on 22 July 2019. KESSEL AG confirms that all its products are produced in compliance with the RoHS Directive.
