    The collection tank, made from durable PE and housed within a twin walled re-enforced pipe for the storage of food waste, is suitable for deep burial and installation in areas at risk of groundwater contamination, and contains no metal components. Access for cleaning and maintenance is provided via inspection hatches fitted with plastic extension pieces for stepless height and level adjustment. The innovative shredder-mix system with integrated chopper homogenises and circulates the tank contents. Cleaning and odour-free disposal are carried out via an external, floodable pump, which is housed in an integrated, walk-in technical compartment and can be separated from the tank by a shut-off valve. In addition, the food waste collection tank features a rounded base for quick and clean disposal. The fully automatic programme sequence is controlled by a user-friendly control unit with a multi-line display, which can be integrated into the building management system via a potential-free contact. The control unit, with a 10 m cable, is factory-fitted in the service shaft. Cleaning and disposal can be initiated from a remote location via a remote control. Thanks to the customisable cleaning programme with quick-select function, cleaning can be adapted to local conditions as required. Compliance with the Drinking Water Hygiene Regulation can be ensured by means of a fully automated flushing of the drinking water pipes. The filling device and solenoid valves must be installed on site in a dry room. The internal piping between the collection tank and the pump is pre-assembled; the external empty conduits and connections must be provided on site. For load class D, a load distribution plate must be installed on site. The reinforcement plans form part of the EBA and are available from KESSEL. The tank is groundwater-resistant up to ground level (GOK). 20-year warranty on the PE material.
