In Hofstetten near Brienz, the Trauffer Erlebniswelt (Trauffer World of Experience) has created a special place dedicated to the famous handmade wooden cow. It has been produced there since 1938 and is now a popular souvenir. Visitors to the new centre can learn more about the history, craftsmanship and sustainable production of Trauffer wooden toys. Rosa's Bistro and Alfred's Restaurant provide culinary highlights. The project relies on modern drainage solutions from KESSEL for the building technology. The construction project, planned by the engineering firm Energieimpuls, placed high demands on the technology – for example, with a seven-metre-deep pumping station with special inlets. KESSEL developed tailor-made solutions for this, such as a spiral-wound pipe shaft made of robust plastic that also meets all standards and safety requirements. A grease separator for the restaurant was also custom-fitted, including automatic flushing and low-odour disposal. Additional pumping stations ensure the drainage of the facility. The installation was carried out by Flück Haustechnik AG, supported by clear instructions and expert advice from KESSEL. The result is a place that skilfully combines tradition, experience and technology – with reliable infrastructure for safe operation.
