Low-lying drains must be protected against backwater
Floor drains with backflow prevention are an important component in buildings – particularly in areas where water needs to be drained away, such as boiler rooms, plant rooms, bathrooms and utility rooms. They serve to drain water efficiently whilst preventing water from flowing back into the building from the drainage system. They may be used whenever drainage is not required during a backflow event.
